Pheon has a very strong leadership team of specialists, bringing together the best of clinical and managerial expertise with a proven track record in targeted oncology therapies and ADCs.
George read Chemistry at University College London (UCL) and obtained his PhD at the University of Nottingham, which focused on natural products and new asymmetric synthesis methodologies.
He has over 10 years’ experience in academia and industry, including at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and Peakdale Molecular. Prior to Pheon, he led Chemistry at Femtogenix, in particular overseeing the development of novel payloads for ADCs, synthetic route design/optimisation, procurement and outsourcing, lab management, and high-potency H&S.
Previously, George undertook Postdoctoral Research at King’s College London (KCL) and at the University of Nottingham, and was a Visiting Researcher at the University of Crete, also gaining teaching and supervisory experience. He is co-inventor on multiple patent applications, an author of numerous publications and review articles, and has presented at several international conferences.
